Dish of the Day: Son of a Preacher Man- Aretha Franklinit's the end of the school week!
lessons were cool. we did tongue twisters and all for speech comm. hahaha.
met bel, david they all at essential brew after lessons. sigh. gone will be such days when school
really starts. all the homework is coming in already! essay after essay after essay. goodness.
making friends wasn't too hard, considering mass comm ppl are so outgoing. another classic trait: russell told me of a girl in of his IS class who introduced herself by saying she "craves attention". no wonder she's in mass comm! he said.
hmm.
anyhow, i guess i'm still not too used to being back in school, having a routine again and all. thank God that i always had people i knew in every tutorial i went to so far. :)
you know, when i was in new town, loads of ppl told me i didnt look like i was from the best class. when i told ppl i was going to poly, nobody thought i looked like the poly type.
just a thought.
i'm going to be studying social psychology soon. perhaps one day i will master the awe-inspiring power of manipulation.
:D muahaha! ambitious i am!
but really, i know this sounds really evil, but don't you think we all wish we can control some person sometimes? to get somebody to like you, to worship you, to do your homework for you...
there. the very core of selfishness. to be honest, i still believe that human beings aren't born selfish; we're all just taught to be. everyone harbours some sort of menacing thoughts; it's just a matter of whether we choose to ruin our lives and the lives of others by putting those thoughts into action. at the same time though, everyone's also not born evil. we're all nice and homey deep down inside, somehow.
the nature of human beings is such a great paradox, don't you think?
